About Me
Hi, I’m Lee — founder of Nutrition and Health with Lee.
I’m a certified Doula, Women’s Health & Nutrition Coach, mother of five, and passionate advocate for evidence-based care. For over a decade, I’ve supported women and families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and broader health journeys with practical, research-informed guidance that builds confidence and sustainable wellbeing.
A Personal Understanding
I am neurodivergent and a homeschooling mother of five children aged 2 to 16. Several of my children are also neurodivergent, giving me both lived experience and deep understanding of advocacy, sensory needs, executive functioning challenges, and navigating complex systems.
I know firsthand that health advice must be realistic, flexible, and tailored — not one-size-fits-all.
My Own Birth Experiences
I have experienced five very different births:
-
Vaginal birth in hospital
-
Breech vaginal birth in hospital
-
Cesarean birth due to complete placenta previa
-
Homebirth after cesarean
-
Two VBAC births outside hospital and home settings
Women deserve informed, respectful support — and that is what I provide.
Professional Background
I hold:
-
Doula Certification
-
Diploma of Health Science (Nutrition)
-
Partial Bachelor in Health Science (Clinical Nutrition)
-
Certificate III & Partial Diploma in Children’s Services
-
Currently completing a Dual Diploma in Nutritional Health Coaching & Women’s Health & Wellness Coaching
I have supported families in a doula capacity since 2014 and have worked in early childhood and health education for over a decade. I have undertaken additional training in trauma-informed care, child safety and protection training (when/where needed), first aid training (when/where needed), complementary health education to broaden my understanding, food handling training, and various integrative and complementary medicine trainings, which enhance the support I provide. I hold a current WWVP card, and I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my knowledge remains current, evidence-informed, and aligned with best practice while also enabling me to add valuable evidence-based options to my services for my clients.
My Approach: Evidence First
Everything I offer — nutritional health coaching, womens health and wellness support, doula support, and educational resources — are grounded in current research and established health science.
I do not incorporate unproven or new age modalities into my work. My services are built on:
-
Nutritional science
-
Preventive health and lifestyle research
-
Trauma-informed principles
-
Evidence-based childbirth education
-
Practical, measurable health strategies
My goal is to reduce confusion, not add to it.
Inclusive & Respectful Support
I walk alongside women from all backgrounds and belief systems. My focus is your health journey — supporting you in making informed decisions that align with your values and life circumstances.
For women who specifically request it, I also offer optional Christian faith-informed support. This is always client-led and never assumed. My primary focus remains evidence-based health care for women of all walks of life.
Clear Scope & Collaborative Care
As a Health Coach and Doula, I work within my professional scope. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and I encourage collaborative care alongside your GP, midwife, obstetrician, or allied health team.
Where necessary, I will refer to other care professionals to support you on your health journey and, if appropriate, will continue working alongside you, in relation with your care providers as part of your care team.
Women and families deserve informed, respectful support — and that is what I provide.
